Pakistan dispatched 100 tons of humanitarian aid to Gaza, Palestine, on Sunday, reaffirming its commitment to support civilians amid the ongoing conflict, with a second flight planned to deliver another 100 tons soon.

On August 3, 2025, a chartered flight carrying 100 tons of essential supplies, including 65 tons of canned food, 20 tons of dry and infant milk, 5 tons of biscuits, and 10 tons of medicines, departed from Islamabad International Airport for Amman, Jordan, for onward delivery to Gaza, as reported by the Associated Press of Pakistan (APP). The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) coordinated the effort under Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif’s directives, marking Pakistan’s 17th aid consignment to Gaza, totaling 1,715 tons since October 2023, per The Express Tribune. Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar, overseeing the send-off, emphasized Pakistan’s solidarity with Palestinians facing extreme hardship, according to Arab News.

The aid comes as Gaza faces a dire humanitarian crisis, with nearly 1,400 Palestinians killed since May 27, 2025, while awaiting aid, according to the United Nations (UN). The Palestinian Ambassador to Pakistan, Ahmad Rabaie, expressed gratitude for Pakistan’s consistent support, per APP. Dar reiterated Pakistan’s call for an immediate ceasefire and a two-state solution based on pre-1967 borders, aligning with UN Security Council (UNSC) resolutions, as stated in The Frontier Post. The second flight, completing a 200-ton relief operation, is scheduled in the coming days, raising Pakistan’s total aid to 1,815 tons, per Daily Times.

The NDMA, in collaboration with Al-Khidmat Foundation, ensured the consignment’s timely dispatch, with Jordan’s Royal Medical Services facilitating distribution, according to Arab News. Dar praised the NDMA’s coordination and Al-Khidmat’s efforts, noting Pakistan’s advocacy for the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) to support Palestinian refugees, per APP. Pakistan, which does not recognize Israel, has consistently condemned Israeli military actions and blockades, advocating for uninterrupted aid to Gaza, as reported by The Express Tribune. This latest effort underscores Pakistan’s resolve to alleviate suffering in Gaza through sustained humanitarian support.
