Bilawal Meets PM Shehbaz to Discuss Political Affairs

Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari met Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in Islamabad on Friday to review the country’s political landscape and law and order situation. The meeting, reported by Radio Pakistan, brought together senior figures from both the PPP and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) to discuss ongoing cooperation between the two parties.

According to a statement from the Prime Minister’s Office, discussions also focused on power-sharing arrangements between the PPP and PML-N. Bilawal was accompanied by Senator Sherry Rehman and Member of the National Assembly (MNA) Aseefa Bhutto Zardari.

During the meeting, Bilawal offered condolences to Prime Minister Shehbaz on the passing of his cousin, Mian Shafi. Prayers were held for Mian Shafi’s eternal peace.

Several key government officials were present, including Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar, Federal Minister for Public Affairs Unit Rana Mubashir Iqbal, Advisor to the Prime Minister on Political Affairs Rana Sanaullah, MNA Saira Afzal Tarar, and Speaker of the Punjab Assembly Malik Ahmed Khan.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed appreciation for the PPP’s role as a crucial ally in the coalition government. He highlighted the party’s consistent support for initiatives aimed at restoring economic stability, noting that this cooperation has been vital in addressing the country’s financial challenges.

The PPP delegation praised the government’s economic strategies, crediting them with helping to stabilize Pakistan’s economy during a challenging period. The group expressed full confidence in the government’s policy direction, particularly in its efforts to maintain fiscal discipline and encourage economic growth.

In response, Prime Minister Shehbaz welcomed the PPP’s continued backing, describing it as a sign of unity among Pakistan’s political leadership. He emphasized that such collaboration was necessary to navigate the nation through its current economic and political challenges.

The meeting ended on a note of mutual commitment to strengthening political cooperation and ensuring stability across the country. Both sides agreed that dialogue and coordination would remain central to their partnership moving forward.
