FGEHA, SCBAP Launch Joint Housing Project

A joint housing scheme by the Federal Government Employees Housing Authority (FGEHA) and the Supreme Court Bar Association of Pakistan (SCBAP) is underway on Park Road, Islamabad, with development work being carried out by NESPAK. The project is strategically located in Moza Tamma and Mariyan, just seven minutes from COMSATS University, 28 minutes from Zero Point, and 20 minutes from the Islamabad Expressway.

Launched 11 months ago in a formal ceremony attended by judges and SCBAP officials, the project offers a total of 5,690 residential plots. These are equally divided between the two organizations, with 2,345 plots each allocated to FGEHA employees and SCBAP members.

Plot allocation follows a dual system:

• FGEHA employees are allotted plots based on seniority.
  
• SCBAP members must submit a formal recommendation letter from the Bar Association.
  

According to official documents from FGEHA, the Layout Plan (LOP) has been approved for an area measuring 8,380.3 Kanal. Within this plan:

• 777 plots of size 32 x 70 ft and
  
• 1,916 plots of size 50 x 90 ft
  have been earmarked for SCBAP members.
  

A major milestone was marked on September 14, when a balloting ceremony took place at the Islamabad Convention Center. During the event, allotment letters were formally distributed to eligible members from both FGEHA and SCBAP.

The ceremony was attended by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, along with the Minister for Housing & Works, the Minister for Law & Justice, and the President of SCBA. Their presence underlined the government’s commitment to resolving housing challenges for federal employees and the legal community.

This collaboration marks a significant step toward addressing urban housing needs in the capital and reflects growing institutional cooperation in real estate development.
