Pakistani actress Alizeh Shah has publicly condemned harassment, bullying, and exploitative practices in the entertainment industry, alleging deliberate sabotage and systemic mistreatment that led to her blacklisting. Her emotional revelations expose deep-rooted issues in Pakistan’s showbiz culture.

On July 21, 2025, Shah took to Instagram Stories to share her ordeal, claiming that trolling, mockery, and paid smear campaigns have targeted her for demanding respect and timely payments. The 25-year-old, known for her role in Ehd-e-Wafa, revisited a 2021 Bridal Couture Week incident where she stumbled on the ramp alongside singer Shazia Manzoor. Shah alleged the fall was intentional, stating, “She grabbed me and dragged me to the floor,” and accused Manzoor of mocking her with TikTok star Jannat Mirza and host Juggan Kazim, per Geo News. Shah admitted to throwing her sandal at Manzoor during a confrontation but denied assault allegations, noting she was advised against filing a First Information Report (FIR) to protect the drama’s progress.

Shah highlighted the industry’s toxic culture, particularly delayed payments and lack of respect. “We beg for our own money for months, and when we get it, it’s treated as a favor,” she said, explaining her decision to step away from acting, per Dawn. Her insistence on boundaries, like refusing unsolicited physical contact, made her a target. “I’m not your property,” she asserted, recounting an incident where a senior actor sprayed her with sweat while drying off, per Samaa TV. Shah also faced directors questioning her “bad image” in meetings, which she believes were orchestrated to humiliate her, per Dunya News.

The actress’s stand against unethical practices, including refusing “shady dinners” and favoritism, has drawn both support and criticism, with some on X praising her courage while others question her approach. Her revelations spotlight a patriarchal industry where women face disproportionate scrutiny, urging reforms to ensure fairness and dignity for artists.
