Aseefa Distributes Housing Deeds in Sindh

First Lady and Member of the National Assembly (MNA) Aseefa Bhutto-Zardari distributed property ownership documents to women affected by the 2022 floods under the Sindh People’s Housing Project. The ceremony took place at Latif Hall in the People’s University of Medical and Health Sciences.

Speaking at the event, Aseefa Bhutto-Zardari emphasized that the initiative was focused on rebuilding lives by offering secure housing to flood-affected families. She said the distribution of homes marked a significant step in helping vulnerable communities recover from the impact of the unprecedented natural disaster.

She acknowledged the efforts of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari in driving the housing initiative forward. According to her, the project reflects the longstanding vision of the late Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, who had pledged to provide shelter and dignity to all citizens.

Aseefa congratulated the women who received property documents and expressed hope that land ownership would contribute to their long-term financial and social stability.

The Sindh People’s Housing Project is a government-supported effort to rebuild homes in areas severely affected by floods in 2022. A large number of houses are currently under construction in flood-hit villages across the province.

According to project officials, the initiative prioritizes women in the distribution of property rights to ensure greater household stability and protection for families. The move is also aimed at preventing displacement and securing generational housing.

Officials present at the event noted that the housing project is being implemented in phases and will continue to cover additional flood-affected districts in the coming months.

The event was attended by local government representatives, housing department officials, and community members.
