A high-level meeting was convened at the Capital Development Authority (CDA) Headquarters under the leadership of Chairman CDA and Chief Commissioner Islamabad, Muhammad Ali Randhawa, to review ongoing development initiatives across the capital.

Senior CDA officials present included Member Administration and Estate Talat Mahmood, Member Finance Tahir Naeem, Member Engineering Syed Nafasat Raza, Member Planning Dr. Khalid Hafiz, Member Environment Esfandyar Baloch, Deputy Commissioner Islamabad Irfan Nawaz Memon, DG Resources CDA, DC CDA, and other senior personnel.

The meeting focused on evaluating the progress of infrastructure projects in several key sectors, including C-14, C-15, C-16, E-12, I-12, Park Enclave, Shaheen Chowk, Faizabad Interchange, and Kashmir Chowk.

Chairman Randhawa directed officials to accelerate development work across all sectors while maintaining strict adherence to quality standards. He emphasized that construction should proceed without compromise and in line with modern urban planning principles.

In a significant directive, the Chairman ordered that CDA directorates, particularly the office of the Deputy Commissioner CDA, establish camp offices in the affected sectors. These offices are to serve as on-site facilitation hubs, aimed at resolving public grievances efficiently and in accordance with legal procedures. Transparency and timely redressal were underscored as key priorities.

Additionally, he stressed the importance of improving road infrastructure and ensuring the installation of modern lighting systems throughout new and developing sectors. The widening of main roads, removal of encroachments, and crackdown on unauthorized constructions were also mandated under the meeting’s resolutions.

Specific attention was given to Park Enclave, where Chairman Randhawa ordered expedited development and lighting work. The Diplomatic Enclave was also highlighted for an upgrade to meet international standards.

Praising the CDA’s recent commercial achievements, including the successful auction of commercial plots and shops, the Chairman commended relevant departments for their performance. He instructed the Finance Wing to allocate necessary funds to support the timely execution of development projects across Islamabad.

These measures are part of the broader push to modernize urban infrastructure in the federal capital and improve public service delivery in rapidly growing residential and commercial sectors.
