A key meeting was held on Thursday at the District Secretariat in Kohat to address ongoing land disputes under the PLG/SRSP project. The session was chaired by Additional Deputy Commissioner (Relief) Kohat, Muhammad Waqas, and attended by representatives from multiple government departments.

The purpose of the meeting was to review the current status of land-related cases and find actionable ways to resolve them efficiently. Officials presented updates on both ongoing and pending disputes, while the Additional Deputy Commissioner assessed the overall progress and provided new directives for timely resolution.

Emphasizing the importance of public service delivery, ADC Waqas stated that resolving land disputes and addressing citizen grievances remain a top priority for the district administration. He noted that unresolved issues not only delay development projects but also increase frustration among local communities.

The PLG/SRSP project, which aims to support local development and public welfare initiatives, has faced delays due to land ownership challenges. Officials at the meeting discussed mechanisms to expedite the resolution process and ensure that the project moves forward transparently.

ADC Waqas urged all involved departments to enhance coordination and adopt a collaborative approach. “Strong inter-agency communication is essential if we are to implement durable solutions,” he said. He also stressed that no leniency would be shown towards negligence or delays, especially when public interests are at stake.

Participants agreed that regular monitoring and improved record-keeping would be critical in accelerating the resolution of disputes. The district administration also reaffirmed its commitment to working closely with stakeholders and ensuring that citizens receive prompt support in addressing their concerns.

The meeting concluded with a renewed focus on accountability, transparency, and timely execution of administrative responsibilities. Officials reiterated their determination to eliminate bureaucratic hurdles and maintain public trust in the system.

This effort reflects broader provincial goals of strengthening governance and ensuring that development projects like PLG/SRSP serve their intended purpose without undue obstruction.
