Minorities Honor Quaid at Independence Day Ceremony

In a heartfelt display of national solidarity, Pakistan’s minority communities gathered at Mazar-i-Quaid on Saturday to honor Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and affirm their commitment to the country’s progress. The event, organized by the Pak Christian Foundation, served as a vibrant prelude to Independence Day celebrations and underscored a shared dedication to national unity and patriotic values.

Leaders and members from Christian, Sikh, Hindu, and other minority groups laid floral wreaths at the mausoleum of the nation’s founding father an act infused with reverence for Jinnah’s enduring legacy. Attendees raised slogans like “Pakistan Zindabad” and “Pak Army Zindabad,” expressing admiration for Pakistan’s armed forces and recognizing their contributions to the nation’s stability and security.

Addressing the gathering, Tariq Samuel, President of the Pak Christian Foundation, emphasized the integral role minority communities play in Pakistan’s development. He asserted that these communities feel safe, respected, and proud to contribute to the nation’s growth. “We strongly condemn all forms of terrorism,” Samuel stated, paying tribute to the sacrifices made by security forces and reaffirming minorities’ readiness to stand vigilant in safeguarding the homeland.

The ceremony projected a powerful message: that Pakistan’s strength lies in the unity of its diverse citizenry. Through their tribute, the minority representatives celebrated Jinnah’s vision of a pluralistic society while recommitting themselves to collective national ideals.
