Sindh Chief Minister Pushes for Rapid Land Digitisation to Boost Transparency

Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has directed the Board of Revenue (BoR) to accelerate the digitisation of land records across the province. The move focuses on integrating the e-mutation system with the e-registration platform to streamline property transactions and improve administrative efficiency. During a meeting held at the Chief Minister’s House in Karachi, Shah highlighted the importance of speeding up the process.

Shah was briefed on the current performance of the Land Administration and Revenue Management Information System (LARMIS). He urged departments to make quick progress on the e-transfer mechanism, which would allow landowners and buyers to complete title transfers and registrations more efficiently. Officials said the digital approach is expected to improve transparency and reduce the chances of record manipulation, particularly in areas with high transaction volume..
