Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur pledges unwavering support for security forces, declaring them national guests and vowing a strong response to any attacks, while urging unity against terrorism.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has reaffirmed his administration’s resolve to eradicate terrorism and protect the nation’s security forces, whom he described as honored guests of the province. Speaking at a provincial apex committee meeting in Peshawar on July 30, 2025, Gandapur emphasized the need for collective action to counter terrorist threats and those spreading divisive narratives, according to a statement from the Chief Minister’s Office. The meeting, attended by senior civil and military officials, reviewed the security situation, particularly in the merged tribal districts, and focused on enhancing coordination among agencies.

Gandapur condemned attacks on security forces, asserting that any attempt to harm them would face a robust response. “Security forces are sacrificing for our peace, and the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa must stand united to protect them,” he stated, as reported by Geo.tv. He highlighted terrorism as the primary obstacle to the province’s development, noting that terrorists exploit civilian areas as shields, a tactic he vowed would not be tolerated. The Chief Minister called on the public to identify and resist those promoting harmful narratives aimed at creating mistrust between communities and institutions.

To strengthen anti-terrorism efforts, Gandapur announced the initiation of local jirgas starting August 2, 2025, to engage community stakeholders, followed by a grand jirga to finalize strategies. The apex committee, including the Corps Commander Peshawar and Inspector General of Police, paid tribute to security personnel and civilians martyred in recent attacks, underscoring the need for improved institutional coordination. Gandapur also rejected federal overreach, asserting that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s resources belong to its people and that no operations would proceed without provincial consent, as per remarks made at the All Parties Conference on July 24, 2025.

The Chief Minister’s firm stance aligns with his broader agenda to restore peace, particularly in tribal areas, while advancing development projects like the Sehat Insaf Card and the Peshawar-Dera Ismail Khan Motorway. By prioritizing public trust and local engagement, Gandapur aims to fortify Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s resilience against terrorism and ensure the safety of its security forces.
