Pakistan’s Defence Minister Khawaja Asif has firmly rejected statements made by Indian Air Force (IAF) Chief Amar Preet Singh regarding alleged Pakistani jet losses during a reported Operation Sindoor. Singh’s remarks, which claimed that Pakistan suffered significant losses in the supposed operation, were dismissed by Asif as baseless and an attempt to spread misinformation.

Speaking to the media, Asif clarified that the claims were “implausible” and lacked any credible evidence. He criticized the timing of the statements, suggesting they were made to create unnecessary tension in the region and distract from internal challenges faced by India. “Such statements hold no ground and are clearly aimed at distorting facts to suit a particular narrative,” Asif stated, emphasizing Pakistan’s strong defense capabilities.

The supposed Operation Sindoor, which has not been officially acknowledged by Pakistan, was referenced by the IAF chief in a recent address claiming Indian air superiority. However, Asif reiterated that no such losses occurred on Pakistan’s side and labeled the statements as “fictional.”

The Defence Minister also pointed out that Pakistan has maintained a robust and capable military that continues to safeguard its sovereignty against any external threats. He highlighted that such remarks from Indian officials do little to foster peace and stability in the region and instead serve to escalate unnecessary tensions.

Asif urged the international community to take note of India’s provocative rhetoric and its potential implications for regional stability. He underscored Pakistan’s commitment to peace but firmly stated that the country would not tolerate any attempts to undermine its security or question its military readiness.

While the claims from the Indian Air Force Chief have not been substantiated with concrete evidence, Asif’s strong rebuttal reflects Pakistan’s stance on safeguarding its sovereignty and countering what it considers baseless allegations.

The Defence Minister concluded by reaffirming Pakistan’s dedication to protecting its airspace and territory while promoting peace in South Asia. He added that the focus should remain on dialogue and constructive engagement rather than inflammatory rhetoric that risks destabilizing the region.
