Bahria Town Karachi 2 Launches Along M-9 Motorway

Karachi, Pakistan  July 30, 2025: Bahria Town, one of Pakistan’s prominent real estate developers, has officially launched a new housing and commercial project Bahria Town Karachi 2 (BTK 2) along the Karachi-Hyderabad M-9 Motorway. The development aims to provide modern residential and business infrastructure in the southern region of Sindh.

Spanning approximately 6,241 acres, the under-construction project is the second installment of Bahria Town’s expansion in Karachi. It is being developed with the intent to offer a wide range of housing options, including apartments, villas, and commercial zones.

According to Bahria Town’s management, the project is progressing at a rapid pace, with around 40% of development work already completed. The site is planned as a self-contained community, aiming to incorporate essential facilities and recreational amenities. These include educational institutions, hospitals, a golf course, and other leisure features to support residential life.

Developers have stated that BTK 2 has received a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Sindh Building Control Authority (SBCA) and is leased through the Sindh Development Authority (SDA). However, independent verification of these claims was not immediately available at the time of reporting.

Bahria Town has a history of delivering large-scale projects in urban centers across Pakistan, with BTK 2 marking a continuation of its footprint in the region. Project planners suggest that this new phase aims to address growing housing demand in Karachi’s outskirts while offering better access to transport routes like the M-9 Motorway.

Despite the scale and promise of the development, real estate experts have advised potential investors and residents to carefully review all documentation and ensure regulatory clearances are in place before making commitments.

BTK 2 is positioned to become one of the larger real estate undertakings in the Karachi metropolitan area, though full completion timelines and infrastructure details remain under development.
