ISPR: Three Fitna Al Hindustan Terrorists Eliminated, Two Officers Martyred in Mastung Operation

In a well-coordinated intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Mastung, Balochistan, Pakistan’s security forces successfully neutralized three terrorists affiliated with the group Fitna Al Hindustan, designated by Pakistan as a foreign-backed proxy. The operation, conducted on July 23, 2025, demonstrated Pakistan’s ongoing commitment to countering terrorism, though it resulted in the martyrdom of two soldiers.

Acting on actionable intelligence, security personnel engaged the terrorists in Mastung District, effectively eliminating the threat. Major Zeeyyad Salim Awal, aged 31, from Khushab, and Sepoy Nazam Hussain, aged 22, from Jhelum, were killed in action while leading the offensive. Their sacrifices highlight the dedication and valor of the armed forces in the face of complex security challenges. Following the operation, sanitization efforts continue to ensure the area is clear of remaining threats.

Balochistan has been a focal point for insurgency and terrorist activities, with groups such as Fitna Al Hindustan exploiting regional vulnerabilities. The terrorists were reportedly involved in multiple attacks, and weapons and explosives were recovered during the operation. Pakistan’s government formally designated Fitna Al Hindustan as a foreign-sponsored entity in May 2025, signaling a firm stance against such groups.

While the operation marks a tactical success, the loss of Major Awal and Sepoy Hussain underscores the risks involved in maintaining national security. Their bravery reinforces Pakistan’s resolve to eliminate terrorism and protect the country’s sovereignty from external interference.
