Teenager Gunned Down in SITE Superhighway Amid Suspected Family Feud

A 16-year-old boy was fatally shot by unidentified assailants in Karachi’s SITE Superhighway Industrial Area on Monday morning. Police believe the killing stems from a long-standing family dispute rooted in the victim’s ancestral village.

According to authorities, the victim, identified as Ikhlaq, son of Gulab, was ambushed by motorcycle-riding gunmen as he left his uncle’s home in Noor Khan Goth for work. Witnesses reported that the attackers fired at close range, striking the teenager in the neck, temple, and face. He died instantly at the scene.

Law enforcement recovered three 30-bore pistol casings, indicating a targeted attack. The victim’s family claims the murder traces back to generational enmity in their native Ghotki district. While police have launched an investigation, no arrests have been made yet.

Industrial zones like SITE (Sindh Industrial and Trading Estate) have faced sporadic violence, often linked to personal vendettas or criminal activity. Residents have called for increased security, but authorities insist such incidents remain isolated.

This tragic event underscores the lingering dangers of unresolved familial conflicts, particularly in regions where tribal and personal disputes escalate into violence.
